A FedEx executive must transform himself physically and emotionally to survive a crash landing on a deserted island

FIrst off, I know this is a classic movie and all, but I honestly found it rather anticlimactic. This was the first time I had sat down and watched the entire thing from front to back. Nothing happy happens, his life is awful. I know it's simply realistic, but it's just really unfortunate the entire time. And nothing much happens, except for the really dramatic physical change he goes through. Also, how could he fly on a plane again after he was rescued? He didn't even look that fazed. Maybe Tom Hanks is simply exceptional. 

This one probably gets a 1.5/5, and mostly because it wasn't my type of movie. I'm not saying it was awful at all, my mother probably loves it. It just wasn't my type.
